6X

The 6X class is painting a quote for the cafeteria, every student has a letter.  Today we spent the day using masking tape to get the letter on the canvas and planning out how to paint their letters.  Excited to see how this turns out!

Clay day!!

6th graders are working on bringing their drawings to life.  They drew the front view and side view of their monsters.  Once they were done drawing, they could get clay.  I am excited to see their creations.

Contour Line Drawing

Today students are once again drawing with one continuous line, but today they can look at the paper.   Again, we are focusing on drawing what we "SEE". Here are a few pictures of what they are doing.  It's so quiet in here, you can hear the markers on the paper.  I am so proud of how hard they are trying and how focused they are!  Way to go 7th and 8th graders!!

Blind Contour Drawing

7th and 8th grade students spent the morning drawing blind contour line drawings of themselves.  They are trying to develop the skill of drawing what they "SEE," not what they "KNOW."  This  will lead them into a self portrait project.
