Glazing monsters

These 6th graders are working on their second day of glazing.  We discussed the difference between transparent and opaque.  The more coats of glaze they add, the darker and more opaque the glaze will be after it's fired.  They are working very hard to apply even, neat coats of glaze.  They are excited to see how their monsters turn out and how the glaze goes from a chalky, dull color, to a bright, vibrant glass-like surface.
